Inverted Aviations
CONTEXT: A e-commerce clothing brand wanted Aviation designs for their t-shirt line.

The Challenge
The challenge was to create three minimalistic t-shirt designs that capture Inverted Aviation brand while being aware of international markets. The result was 3 different plane vector illustrations with bold type. The most challenging was design number 3. We decided to use the propeller for the back of the neck and the plane that says Aviation for the front. Originally we were going to have the plane say the plane registration number, but then the owner learned that plane registration overseas do not start with a "N." To solve that, I replaced the registration number with the word "Aviation."

Voice of Youth: Black Woman
CONTEXT: Voice of the Youth (VOY), a non-profit by leader Berry Accius in Sacramento that empowers black youth, wanted a design that inspires black women. He wanted the phrase "Black Women are the most beautiful beings on Earth" to be the inspiration for the design.

The Challenge
The challenge was to create a t-shirt design that captures the beauty of a black woman. The result was a hand-drawn illustration with bold type. I used fountain pen to draw a black woman. I decided to draw her with dreads because it is different from the common drawing of a black person with an afro. I want to show we can be beautiful no matter the hairstyle. I adorned the lady with an ear ring shaped of the Earth to drive home the connection to the phrase.
